The digital camera 14 megapixel Olympus SP-800UZ is being offered for sale on Amazon. The camera has one built-in zoom lenses on the market longer, with a 30X zoom has optical image stabilization. It is also capable of recording 720p HD video and has a 3 inch LCD screen. Amazon reveals a better value than expected, 349.89 dollars, because it includes a free accessory kit Olympus with a second battery, a card reader Zeik, a lens cleaning kit from Sakar, screen protectors and a mini tripod Bower Sakar.

The Olympus SP-600UZ, submitted at the same time as the previous model, but equipped with a 15X lens, 12-megapixel sensor and a smaller screen of 2.7 inches has appeared for pre-sale on Amazon. The price of this machine is $ 250, but does not include an accessory kit.

It’s all a logical upgrade, at low cost (to them), about 1 year out from the original. Panasonic need to make some money from the existing investment before they invest in a radical new body I guess. All the ergonomic changes look like modular ones, so we should not expect the body to feel any different from the earlier models.
Personally, I would spend a bit extra to get the G2 over the G10, because I think the higher resolution video and dedicated movie button is worth it. And there are plenty of “stills only” photographers who will be happy to be paying less on a G10 because they are not interested in video (going by the comments on various forums).
These are evolutionary, not revolutionary, which is normal, and expected. And obviously their market researchers know that a touch screen will bring some new buyers over to the format. I would expect the pricing gap will be less than that of the G1 and GH1, and the G2 will be cheaper than the GH1. I’ll probably end up with the G2 (moving on from an FZ18 which got stolen), and perhaps add a smaller body later (EPL-1?), if the LX3 isn’t upgraded.
I don’t think it’s accidental that Panasonic and Olympus are making complementary cameras and lenses, they are deliberately dividing and sharing the 4/3’s market between them. And overall doing a bloody good job. There will be lots more to come over the next 18months!

@Fruzion I have to agree. I owned a slider (a Samsung Rant) as a personal phone, and it was a nice phone. But the freezing up, the lack of a good screen and the fact that it was a near-smartphone (a.k.a dumbphone w/better features) meant that things didn't just work. The Bolt Browser was a pain to use on the Rant; it was also hard to use on the WinMo phones my former job provided to me for business. And the WinMo phones, while beautiful because of their flexibility in app use, often just didn't work (unlike my Vista-based laptop which, despite all the hate for Vista, just does the job).

I've toyed with Android phones; most are just plain ugly (save for anything from HTC that isn't called G1 or Nexus One; they are the bomb in terms of design). The apps are cool, but I don't use many apps save for Bolt, Wordpress and UberTwitter; most of the apps are just toys to me and sort of meaningless (and the key word here, is for me; I greatly appreciate how others are in love with apps). The iPhone always seemed more show pony than workhorse to me (I also hated the lack of cut/copy-and-paste). As for the Pre: Undoubtedly beautiful, but the keyboard just plain sucks; the keys are way to small for even my long, thin piano-player fingers.

The Curve, which I just got two weeks ago, is the atomic bomb. The design is sexy but not fussy; the keyboard is great for one- or two-hand typing; the screen is neither too big nor too small for my tastes; and the OS works like a business-oriented phone OS is supposed to work. I haven't been this excited about a smartphone ever (and I even considered buying a Pre and an iPhone when each initially came out) — and haven't been as excited about a phone since I got the Rant (which, among the feature phones, remains better than the Rumor/Exclaim crap out there).

The browser needs work (this is why I have Bolt) and I do wish RIM would allow for apps to embed on the MicroSD instead of the phone (better memory allocation). And I can understand why some would want RIM to push for more app development and redesign the UI (the OS is perfect). But RIM isn't meant for fun. It's for getting things done. Fun is why I own a Flip Mono, an iRiver, an iPod Touch and an XBox 360.

Tiger Woods — The First Unstaged Golf Photos

Posted Mar 5th 2010 8:00AM by TMZ Staff

Tiger Woods is golfing like a man possessed — hitting ball after ball after ball at the golf course near his home in Isleworth … and TMZ has obtained the first unstaged photos of Woods back in action.

Woods hit the course yesterday with 2 male companions and practiced his ass off from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM — working on everything from drives to pitches and putts.

We're told Tiger's session was uninterrupted — and he seemed completely focused throughout the entire grueling workout.

As we previously reported, sources in Isleworth tell us Tiger is dead set on competing for the Tavistock Cup — which will be held at the same Isleworth golf course where he's practicing.

And with that news … Phil Mickelson probably needs a fresh pair of undies.

My favorite Football-Trikot: Miroslav Klose Fussball Trikot bestellen

from: Kestejoos Site

Analysis:

The battle at the top is a three way race between Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Schalke. Bayern Munich comes into this match on a 9 match winning streak and will aim for the tenth here today.

In their last three away games they have score more than 3 goals each as they beat sides such as Wolfsburg 3-1, Werder Bremen 3-2 and Bochum 5-1!

Their last match against Borussia Dortmund saw them win by 3-1 at home as well, so their relentless hot streak continues. Their away record stands at 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats.

As for Nurnberg, they are second from the bottom and their home record is nothing to shout about with 2 wins, 2 draws and 6 defeats. They have lost two games in a row going down to Monchengladbach 2-1 and also at home to Stuttgart by the same margin.

Since beating Hertha Berlin 3-0 on 17th October 2009, Nurnberg have yet to win at home. The best they have managed is draws against Werder Bremen 2-2 and against Frankfurt 1-1.

All point to a win for Bayern Munich here.

Cheers and good luck,
Cruiser

The Statistics :

Remember last year when Grafite scored the goal of his lifetime? In 2010 everything seems to be different. Wolfsburg is struggling to defend the title and most players are well down from their form of last year. Only Edin Dzeko is close to last year's efforts. Manager Armin Veh has destroyed everything by trying to play a completely new style with his team - former coach Felix Magath's play was perfect for the players he had last season.

Now Veh is history and Lorenz Günter Köstner has taken over. He is an old experienced fox who loves discipline and defence, but wants to return to old Magath-Style in Wolfsburg. Of course, that doesn't mean that the team will suddenly play like the champions again, but it did spark some good signs against Hamburg. It is worth noting that Hamburg assisted them by creating numerous chances and the poor play of their forwards. Against Bayern, we will likely see the same players from last year with the new signings sitting on the bench - among them Obafemi Martins, who has made a much stronger impression this year alongside Grafite. Wolfsburg will once again play defensively as they did against Hamburg, with most players behind the ball and holding their positions most of the time.

We cannot say a lot about Bayern. They will keep on playing like past weeks and may be strengthened by the addition of Ribery. If this happens it will be hard for Wolfsburg to stop Bayern. They might have the individual class of Misimovic and Dzeko, but these two cannot do it alone. The Volkswagen Arena is the site of the biggest Bayern disaster of recent years, a loss made worse when Felix Magath made fun of them by changing the goalkeeper in the last minutes of the game. This is potentially a day of revenge now that Bayern have found system and the right players, aided by the return of their missing puzzle piece in Ribery.

Two bets that sound interesting in this game. The over 3.0, simply because both sides have outstanding forwards, last years result, that will make Bayern play even more aggressively and, most of all, the shaky defence of Wolfsburg. They allowed 12 chances to Hamburg last week and without some big improvement, Bayern will double this number and easily go for 4 goals in this game…. there is a difference in class between these sides at the moment.

Bet: Bayern win

Orange in a glass by Andrew _ B

Photography Website Tell me if you like them - i love to discuss the photos with you!

If you really want to learn the art of wildlife photography, then you should be aware of the basics of wildlife photography. It is rightly said that wildlife photography is one of the most challenging but rewarding hobby or career. It takes honest practice, persistence and hard work to master the real art of wildlife photography.

For mastering wildlife photography you have to have the basic knowledge of camera handling. As majority of the photos you take will be captured with the help of telephoto lens. This will test your patience and dedication as you have to wait a much longer time for the animal to come in the range and taking right pictures through right angles before that wild animal leaves from the site. Many of the times the animals you want to shoot will be yards away from you so that you have to take your pictures with more precision and care with zoom lenses.

While shooting wildlife you always have to watch out for minute movements happening around you. And for that purpose you have to be attentive for the longer time. The sunlight also plays a very important role in taking these wildlife pictures. For this purpose your camera should have the proper adjustments according to the various angles of sunlight so that pictures will be much clearer without any fuzz.

Also wildlife photography is all about capturing a particular moment of the wildlife. It makes or breaks your photography style. Many of the best wildlife photographers out there are really skillful in shooting the exact speed and momentum of the particular animal they are watching. But to be the best wildlife photographer out there you should first master the basics and you can begin this process by starting to shoot your own home pets. If you learn to shoot their natural movements and habits in their natural style then you can say that you are ready for outdoor wildlife photography.

There are no shortcuts to learn the basics of wildlife photography. Rather you have to practice it religiously and with full devotion. You should have to pay a special attention to your cameras. You have to take care that your camera has a quick shutter speed which is very necessary to take more than one shot as you roam around the wildlife to take pictures. In this type of photography most of the times you have to follow your subject to shoot many pictures at a time in one shot. This process is mainly known as “panning” which consists of taking faster pictures in one snap as you mover closer to a particular animal you want to shoot.

Thus wildlife photography is all about your patience, persistence and shooting skill where you need to wait a longer time to take the perfect picture. But at the end of the day it is also the most satisfying art where you get the really thrilling and enjoyable experience to cherish for.

Fuji FinePix 6.3-MegaPixel Digital Camera Review

Sigma 18-250/3 kaufen

The Olympus E300 camera that was lunched in 2004, strappingly swerved from the conventional SLR camera structure. The Olympus E500 was introduced one year later; user usually assumed that the Olympus Company had taken the path of least confrontation by producing a standard SLR camera. On the other hand, it is notice that the Olympus E-330 is a continuation of the Olympus E-300. The Olympus E330 demonstrates exactly what the Olympus Company has in stock for their numerous users globally.

LCD Display of the Olympus E-330

Obviously, the most outstanding asset of the camera is the live outlook. Though, the camera is not the debut digital camera to proffer live view; there are others, which perform the functions also such as the Fuji-film S3 PRO. The Olympus E330 permits a procurer to use live view on the screen for a longer epoch of time. Furthermore, the screen can be skewed, which permits the procurer to capture portraits from complicated, aberrant angles. To enable the utilization of live view, the casing features a second feeler. On the Olympus E330 DSLR there are two ways to get an authentic live view. Typical, the light beam is twisted to the optical viewfinder and a second CCD at the top of the Olympus E-330.

Design of the Olympus E-330

When glancing at the front side of the E-330, a user will immediately observe the absence of the prism casing. The camera has a practically smooth top side. The Olympus E-330 front side characterizes a sensibly moderate structure. There is a button that enables a procurer to remove the lens next to the bayonet mount. On the handgrip there is a LED that indicates the start of the self-timer. At first glimpse, this might come across as a slightly unscientific position; after all, this means the LED will be enclosed when grabbing the Olympus E-330. Though, a user should keep in mind that when taking a shot with help of the self-timer, a procurer will not hold the camera in the common way.

Buttons and Connections of the Olympus E-330
The sides of the camera are also moderately vacant. On the left side of the Olympus E-330 there is the connection for the USB interface, concealed at the back of a rubber cap. On the right, there is the compartment that domiciles the flash memory cards. The camera is supports both Compact-Flash memory cards and xD Picture cards. Obviously, a procurer will find the grommets for the camera belt. When glancing at the top side of the camera, the flash shoe for an external flash located on top of the optical. Next to the built-in flash the hot-shoe is situated. The handgrip holds the shutter release button, which has an outstanding pressure tip. A user will discover a button which serves to control the exposure compensation, right behind it. In the center a user will find the button for the exposure modes, which is enclosed by the main control.

The Battery of the Olympus E-330
The lower part of the handgrip is where the Olympus BLM-1 Lithium Ion battery is positioned. The lid is operational with a solid lock to help avert unintentional opening. Obviously, camera features a standard tripod mount, which is made of steel. The tripod mount is enclosed by a tiny rubber rug, which ensures the Olympus E-330 will not shake when placed on a bench. The handgrip permits a firm hold and ensures a secure feeling when taking shots.

White balance of the Olympus E-330
The camera delivers copiousness of selections to set the white balance. Setting an accurate white balance is of meticulous significance when taking shots in TIFF or JPEG. Though a user is able to regulate the colors afterwards, this will always affect the quality and may cause an assortment of unnecessary color effects to take place. Then, it is best to set the white balance in beforehand, particularly when snapping in a complicated light circumstance. Though the automatic white balance of the camera does produce high-quality overall outcomes. A user may choose to set the white balance through numerous pre-programmed scenes, in addition to the color warmth.

Storage and Energy of the Olympus E-330
The camera supports both a Compact-Flash cards and the xD Picture Card. Equipping the Olympus E-330 with an extra slot for Compact-Flash proves to be a bright move certainly, which greatly increases the exchange capability. Compact-Flash is obtainable in a larger assortment of storage capacities and speeds.

RAW and JPEG format of the Olympus E-330
The settings are not inadequate to the actual shots snapping. When capturing images in RAW and JPEG format simultaneously, a user is obtainable with a fascinating selection if one wishes to erase shots. The Olympus E-330 permits a user to decide precisely what photos you wants to delete; either the RAW or JPEG, or both simultaneously.

Give the Olympus E-330 a try by purchasing the camera that has a lot of fascinating and quality functions it performs. Check your local shop for adequate pricing.

Sending it in for calibation/correction whilst its still under warrenty would be the best option. I know that canon and nikon will do camera lens calibrations but I am unsure about sigma. Also for camera lens calibration you also have to send your camera in as well (since like lenses cameras also have slight differences in manufacture - which is why sometimes a lens which is soft or has focus issues on one camera can have no such problem on another camera body of the same make)

In this video, Ron Pereira explain what kaizen is, what it takes to do kaizen, as well as ten guiding principles all continuous improvement practitioners (lean manufacturing and six sigma) should follow.

I agree with Tyberius. I can't really see much much…
But it seems like you're using Hitec servos (right?) I'm kinda interested in your project as I'm building a cheap humanoid too.
And also, from what I see, you have more DoFs than mine (which is gonna be 12 or 13). How much is your target budget for this project?

Keep going on your project btw, building a cheap humanoid is pretty fun I think

Six members of Sigma Gamma Rho at Rutgers University — an 88-year-old national Greek organization — allegedly subjected one pledge to nightly beating for eight days, authorities say.

With the rise of Bluetooth technology across a variety of wireless devices and applications, the Motorala HS860 Bluetooth Headset is a perfect fit for your on-the-go communication needs. A recent purchase by a coworker prompted me to investigate the many features and benefits of the Motorola Bluetooth HS860 Headset. Wireless headsets abound in today’s fast-paced business world for a variety of reasons. Headsets can provide ease of phone connection and calls while driving; the ability to walk and talk even while in the office; and they are a great way to enable a wireless connection with your PDA and other Bluetooth-enabled devices.

The Motorola Bluetooth Headset has a snappy and contemporary design; weighing in at only a slight 200 grams, the headset is compatible with many Bluetooth 1.2 enabled devices such as cell phones and PDAs. These do not even have to be Motorola’s own brand; the wireless headset supports a variety of manufacturers. Still, I would encourage the Moto line of products for their flexibility, ease of use, and overall quality. Motorola has been successful in finding the strongest components of networking devices to date, including PDAs, cell phones, and other wireless devices.

The most distinguishing and attractive features of the Motorola HS860 Bluetooth headset are its compatibility, high frequency/connectivity, and its user-friendly design. The microphone easily folds into the device and connects calls instantaneously; the flashing LED light helps to let you know that a call is in process. This is highly recommended when you switch to speakerphone on your cell phone or PDA, in the instance you may forget to turn it off while driving! The overall setup is designed efficiently enough to pick up a wireless signal up to 30ft away; you no longer have to march around looking for your signal or trying to maintain connectivity! The ergonomic design easily hooks around your ear, and requires little attention or adjustments while in use. It is considerably smaller and more compact than other Motorola headset lines, and offers all the benefits of the popular Motorola H700 but with the extended benefit of added talk time.

The Motorola HS860 Bluetooth Headset can be combined with up to seven devices, which makes it easy to transfer and store vital information while you’re on the road. “Be Hands Free” is the motto behind Motorola’s wireless products, and the 8 hour talk time along with 200 hour standby time make this model convenient and a worthwhile investment. Currently, the Motorola HS860 Bluetooth Headset runs for a retail price between $74.95-$99.95 in most markets. It does come with a 1 year warranty, and only requires a 2 hour charging time.

Review: Nikon 35mm F/2D AF Nikkor Wide-Angle Lens

January 20th, 2010 by neilblackwell1952

Big Ben in wide angle by lucy_2808

Tamron 18-270mm F/3

As anybody in the photography field knows, there is an ongoing debate about which digital SLR brand of cameras is better and the two main brands being debated are Canon and Nikon. Everybody has their own personal opinion (and some are very defensive about it), but if you're looking to buy a camera you want to know the facts. Well, here they are:

The first thing you should know is that there is no right answer. Both brands are at the top of their game, so it all comes down to personal preference: which body fits your hands better? Which viewfinder fits your eyes better? Nikon viewfinders are generally considered to be better for people with eyeglasses, while Canons are better for those without.

Prices
The prices are very similar for Nikon and Canon cameras/lenses. One particular camera from one brand may be a bit more or less expensive than another camera from a different brand, but if you average it the numbers you get are very similar. If you're just trying to pick a brand as opposed to the exact camera, don't judge based on prices.

Lenses

Taking good photos is an art that requires good materials, and in this art lenses are probably more important than the camera itself. The lens you choose can either make or break a picture. As said before, the prices for lenses are about the same. Each brand has very good lenses unique to that company, but it really depends on what kinds of photos you want to take. Nikon generally has better wide-angle lenses, while Canon usually has better telephotos. However, new lenses are constantly being introduced by both companies and this generality can change very quickly. Another lens factor is compatibility. Most Nikon cameras and lenses made since 1959 are compatible with each other. Canon cameras can use Nikon lenses, but Nikon cameras cannot use Canon lenses. In 1985, Canon created a new lens system that is completely incompatible with old cameras, so most old lenses are not compatible with the newer cameras.

New Products
Both brands are always coming out with new products. One difference between them is that while Nikon usually announces new products several months in advance but takes a long time to deliver, Canon announces new products as they are released but it is easy to buy them. Therefore, if you need that brand new camera right away, I'd go with Canon, but if you have time, go for Nikon.

Overall Quality
This is difficult. Both manufacturers provide about the same camera quality for the price range, but many people still prefer one to the other. I, personally, prefer Nikon compacts but Canon DSLRs. That's just personal preference for what suits me. I find Canons simpler to use with an easier interface, but many other people find Nikons simpler. My best suggestion to you would be to go down to your local camera store (or Best Buy if that's all you have) and ask to see some of their cameras. Hold them, put them to your eye, try focusing the lenses, and pick whatever works best for you.

Good luck!

Dear Sir or Madam,

I today received, “courtesy” of your honor society, a bulk mail letter from Geico Insurance advertising its policies. Beta Gamma Sigma is noted on the bottom of the letter as having sold my personal information to Geico. As a longstanding member of your society (since sometime during my college years at XXXXX University), I think it is reasonable to ask for how much my information was sold. Furthermore, for this and any future sales of my personal information I would like to be compensated. My cut is 90% of the sale price for my name, address, and/or phone (should you somehow acquire it). I strike a hard bargain.

Should you refuse to pay me, I request immediate removal from your lowdown, weasily, huckster society. I'll make sure you regret it.

Sincerely yours,

CMOS Cascade Sigma-Delta Modulators for Sensors and Telecom: Error Analysis and Practical Design presents architectures, circuits, models, methods and practical considerations for the design of high-performance low-pass switched-capacitor (SC) sigma-delta A/D interfaces for mixed-signal CMOS ASICs. Main focus is on cascade architectures, although considerations pertaining to circuits and error analysis are general and hence valid for other architectures.
